Hey Girls :)
I am really obsessed with Navy blue... Dark Blue in general. Whether it is an eyeliner or an eyeshadow.. I love Blue.
So, I was thinking of doing a quick and easy way on how to do a kind of smoky eyes which is very wearable for every day! You can do this with any colour :)
The following pictures show the end result:
Lets begin:
- Take an eyeshadow primer and apply it to the lids so that the colour of the blue is brought out more.
- Then take an eyeliner, I took a navy blue eyeliner and I started applying it on the very far corner of the eye.I only applied a tiny ammount.
- Take a cotton bud or a spongy brush (the kind you usually get with an eyeliner) and smudge upwards and inwards to create a fading effect.
- Don't apply too much at one go! Because it will be harder to blend and it can be too much then and you would have to start all over again.
- Keep layering the eyeliner on the outer corner blending inwards, until the desired intensity is achieved.
- Next, apply a dark blue eyeshadow, the same colour as the eyeliner you used. Apply this eyeshadow lightly on the eyeliner.
- Take a black liquid or gel eyeliner and line the upper lash line thinly. I applied the liner on the outer part of the eye so as to create a smoky effect. Apply the liner as close to the lash line as possible.
- With the same navy blue eyeliner apply this on the water lineand lower lash line. Apply it as thinly as possible.
- Take a Black pencil liner and apply it thinly to the lower lash line on the outer part of the eye so as not to overwhelm the blue eyeshadow.
- Black mascara is a must!
- Define the brows
- Blusher (not seen). Try and avoid cool colours of blushers such as pinks. Use instead, terracotta or brownish coloured ones.
- Nude lip gloss.
The following are the products I used:
- Garnier Roll on Anti Dark Circles as an under eye concealer
- Inglot YSM Cream Foundation no 46
- Inglot AMC Pressed Powder no 55
- Maybelline Color Definer Waterproof Shadow Stick in 21 Sweet Bronze
- Revlon Eyeliner Pencil in 06 Navy
- Revlon Colour Stay 12 HR Eyeshadow in Ocean Blue
- Inglot Duraline with Inglot Eyeliner Gel Matte in 77 (Black)
- Lancome Le Crayon Khol Waterproof in Raisin Noir
- Inglot Eyeshadow (for eyebrows) can't get the number as I cannot pull out the Pan. But it is like a dark ash brown.
- Maybelline Volume Express One by One Mascara
- The Body Shope Nature's Minerals blusher in Golden Terracotta
- Avon Plump Pout in Nude Pout
Have fun experimenting!
