Eyelash Extensions

It never occurred to me to get lash extension. I was quite reluctant to try them. Having said that I love how they can look so natural. I decided to give them a try. I was under the hands of a very sweet girl - Joanna Pajak. I strongly suggest you check her brand new Facebook page here - Lash Extensions by Joanna.

I really loved the way the lashes open up the eye, giving the eyes an instant pick-me-up without having to apply layers of mascara thus avoiding clumping and/or smudging. My lashes never looked this beautiful and full but natural at the same time.I think eyelash extensions are very glamorous for this festive period or for even every day natural look.

Before 1:1 lash extensions
Before 1:1 lash extensions
Semi Permanent Eyelash extensions (1:1) make your lashes look longer, thicker and curlier whilst still looking natural. 1:1 lash extensions are applied with a strong lash glue to the lash only. Neither the extension lash or glue touches the eyelid. This bond is designed to last until the natural lash has finished its cycle and both the natural lash and extensions will fall out together. Lash extensions are extremely versatile. You can go to the gym, sauna, swimming pool, beach without the risk of them falling off. They are very lightweight and do not damage your own natural lash.

The process took around 2 hours in total. The eyes need to be makeup free and clean without any products on. Eyelash extensions are individually applied to the natural eyelash, they last for several weeks or the the life of a natural eyelash. However will begin to look spare after a few weeks unless maintenance (infills) is done, every 2/3 weeks.

In order to extend the life of the lash extensions one needs to take some necessary precautions. Oil based products on the lashes or rubbing the eyes regularly ma cause the extensions to fall out faster. What you cannot do is wear any oil free eye make-up, or removers as the oil contain ingredients which will weaken the bonding. As a general rule you need to advise before hand of any allergic reactions prior to commencement of application. Moreover, it is important to also notify the specialist of any irritation or reactions after applications.

I was really impressed by the amount of lashes still present after more than 3 weeks! I really recommend Joanna, she is very professional and I didn't have any irritations or discomfort during the procedure or afterwards.

What do you think about eyelash extensions?
