The Autumn and Winter Fashion Show by DIZZ Group

This post is such a long overdue post. But last month was somewhat of a difficult one for me and this event totally escaped my mind. I thought of writing just a few words on what happened during the show. October is known for Breast Cancer Awareness month, however, it was also Mental Health Awareness month too. Me and Lara were invited to go to the Autumn Winter Fashion Show organised by the DIZZ group in aid of the Merigold Foundation, under the patronage of Ms. Michelle Muscat. The Fashion show took place at the magnificent Girgenti Palace in Siggiewi.
Below are some of my favourite looks of the event. For more information on the Mental Health Awareness group please do visit this LINK. Also for more information on the DIZZ group visit their Facebook PAGE

Revlon ColorStay Foundation Review

I neglected my blog for a while now and I am finding it very strange to write a review. So, apologies beforehand.

This year has been the year where I changed and unthinkable amount of foundation shades. Apparently my skin tone is a very difficult one in terms of finding the right colour.

One of the foundations that I was using this summer was the Revlon Color Stay foundation. Excuse me for the messy bottle but I will explain why later.

The first thing you can notice is that the foundation I chose is one for normal to dry skin. I was watching one of the videos by Makeup by TiffanyD and she had mentioned that this actually performs better than the one for oily skin.
Anyways, just to make it clear it didn't make my face shiny either so I didn't have problem with that. The shade was actually a bit dark for me but I tan quickly so it wasn't that big of a problem.
I love how the foundation sits on the face. It has a medium to slightly full coverage with a nice slightly dewy finish. It doesn't look pasty or feel heavy on the skin. It does have SPF so beware of flash photography.
I don't imagine myself wearing foundation for 24hrs but I didn't take it literally as I rarely believe these claims. However, it is very long lasting. During the past summer I had to wear makeup on a regular basis and sometimes for a period of 12 hours. So, it was a good test.
I don't remember the actual price of this foundation but I realised that some so called drugstore brands are really putting up their prices!

My biggest dislike about this foundation is the no pump thingy.
It is usually no big deal if I absolutely love the product. But I cannot complain enough how dirty the bottle which oh btw is glass and is kind of heavy as well, gets.

Untill next post!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I have been on the hunt for a full coverage foundation for ages. I will never probably part from my beloved Max Factor Lasting Performance one, but I wanted something with a bit more coverage.

I have been eyeing the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for ages and a fellow blogger Steph from Think.Love.Makeup entered in action.

I am in debt with her. Not only she found the perfect shade for me but she was patient enough to put the foundation all over my face.

I fell in love with the foundation at once.

The shade was slightly darker then me and well it was quickly fixed as I get tanned easily so I am the perfect shade haha.

Anyways, I will start out with the one thing which bugs me to death. The foundation bottle has no pump! So, you have to place your fingers on the opening and flip the bottle and apply kind of dots on your face.

It is pretty high coverage so you would only typically need just a couple of 'dots'. It is a full coverage foundation without being sort of a mask on your face.

One thing to be careful is to apply a good moisturiser before hand as this foundation can be somewhat drying. Make sure you leave the moisturiser absorb into the skin well before applying foundation.

The foundation was around 28 euros which I think is a bit dear for a foundation but for me foundation is something that I am ready to pay a bit more. It is something that there should be no messing around with!

Anyways, so bottom line is that I love this foundation!
