Mangano - Spring / Summer 2018 collection

Last week I was cordially invited to the launch of Mangano Spring Summer 2018 collection. The main theme in this collection is the eighties glamour as can be featured in flowing dresses with ruffles. Full tulle skirts, sequined striped sweaters and jeans studded with crystals are just some of the few key features which will make you reminiscent of the eighties.

In this collection wide ruffles, decorative shoulders, cinched waists, bustier-style belts and bare shoulders and legs are some of the features which are prominent. This collection is filled with butterfly prints, stripes in various colours and flowers. As one can see in the photos below the collection will also take you right into spring with colours including pastels among others.

The Body Shop Summer 2017

Basically Summer is here! Or well, just a couple more days for it to be officially summer. Summer brings lots of new and exciting things and The Body Shop has something for summer 2017. This was portrayed during an event which happened in The Body Shop outlet in Plaza Sliema.

The Pinita Collection is back this summer!

 Escape to a sunshine oasis with this body care collection. This sun-splashed scent evokes the aroma of freshly blended pineapples and coconuts, basically the tropics in a bottle!

Also, there are some new Matte Liquid Lipstick available too!

Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ (Face & Body) - Review

This review is long due, but this summer was just crazy. I just couldn't keep up. Although it's already September, the heat and sun in Malta is just as strong as ever. I have been extra careful this year, although I know, every year should be the same.

I find it rather a challenge to find a rather good sunblock for the body let alone for the face. This summer I was trying the AVENE Hydrating Sunscreen, which is suitable for both face and body. Although it does have that sunblock smell, it is not that overpowering. It has a quite thin consistency which doesn't remain sticky on the skin. It has broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF50+ protection with additional 24hr hydration. It is suitable for all skin types (even oily skin). 

The ingredients include:

Avobenzone (3%), Homosalate (15%), Octisalate (5%) andOctocrylene (10%) provide non-irritating broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 50+ Protection

Photostable form of Vitamin E provides a powerful anti-oxidant protection

Avène Thermal Spring Water soothes and softens the skin

Remember to Apply generously and evenly to face and/or body 15 minutes prior to sun exposure. Reapply every two hours or after 80 minutes of swimming or perspiring and immediately after towel drying.

I do love this Sunscreen as it doesn't really have that strong sunblock smell. I mean it does somewhat have a scent, which sunblock doesn't?  It does leave a little bit of a shine on the face but not that much. And the best thing is that it is not heavy on the face and it doesn't  brake me out. This was such a favourite this summer! And will surely remain a favourite of mine next year!

Lierac Summer Event!

Lierac is a brand which caters for everyone. All skin types and all ages. It was all I needed after a day at work. The whole event started with an interesting talk regarding beauty and health in general and the importance of a healthy  skincare regime.

Afterwards, us bloggers were invited to a cleansing facial, skin analysis, makeup application and nutritional advice.

I volunteered for the facial. It.was.very.much.needed.

Then I had my skin analysis. It resulted in my skin being quite combination and needs a lot of peeling in winter! Now I know in what I am going to invest in winter!

We also had delicious nibbles and some refreshing infused water. At the end we were given a nice goodie bag.

 In it was the Iridescent Milk Mist with SPF15, which lets just say is simply gorgeous! It has the tiniest amount of iridescence which makes the skin look more tanned and glowy. Perfect for summer! 

My all time fave product from Lierac? The Mesolift serum! I will definitely stock in winter as it is a nice skincare item for winter.

Summer OOTD

I meant to post this blog (OOTD) weeks ago! But these past weeks have been somewhat busy for me and I totally forgot about it. PS. temperature is still 26 degrees in Malta soooo.... Anyways. Here it is. It is just a simple dress (5 pounds from Primark!!) The 'wayferers' sunglasses were 1 pound from Primark as well! Belt from some trousers which I don't wear and heals from H&M. The bag is another bargain. I was bought from Gozo from a market for 10 euros! Last but not least necklace is from Newlook which was given to me as a present. 

I wore this outfit when I attended Dyna's (from Dyna's Random Blog) baby shower! I am so excited for her! I went along with Martina from (all things fabulous).Afterwards we went to help as volunteers for the annual Strummin Concert.

No Sweat Summer Proof Easy Makeup Tutorial

Hello guys :)

I am writing this post when the temperature is around 36 degrees.... If you live in Malta you know how its like. The average temperature is that of around 33 degrees. 

Oh well enough grumbling.

This hot and sweaty and humid weather made me realise how much I hate makeup which melts in Summer! For me I do sweat quite considerably during the day. Therefore, I am trying not to wear much Makeup in summer.

Here is an easy and relatively quick (although it still resulted in a 9 minute video) tutorial which is perfect for summer :)
