Lierac Summer Event!

Lierac is a brand which caters for everyone. All skin types and all ages. It was all I needed after a day at work. The whole event started with an interesting talk regarding beauty and health in general and the importance of a healthy  skincare regime.

Afterwards, us bloggers were invited to a cleansing facial, skin analysis, makeup application and nutritional advice.

I volunteered for the facial. It.was.very.much.needed.

Then I had my skin analysis. It resulted in my skin being quite combination and needs a lot of peeling in winter! Now I know in what I am going to invest in winter!

PS: photos courtesy of Lara from larasbeautyaddictbible.

We also had delicious nibbles and some refreshing infused water. At the end we were given a nice goodie bag.
In it was the Iridescent Milk Mist with SPF15, which lets just say is simply gorgeous! It has the tiniest amount of iridescence which makes the skin look more tanned and glowy. Perfect for summer!

My all time fave product from Lierac? The Mesolift serum! I will definitely stock in winter as it is a nice skincare item for winter.

More info can be found on Lierac facebook page.

Until next post,

Michael Todd Honey and Oat Gentle Deep Cleanser Review

So, let's just say that well I am not the kind of person to go all organic. However, when it comes to skin care I tend to try and use simple products as much as I can. Products which do not have those nasty chemicals. Products which do their job with no fuss.

That is where Michael Todd True organics comes in comes in. I believe I tried them for the very first time last year or it could have been before.

MICHAEL TODD cleansers, washes and scrubs are made in the U.S. without parabens, artificial color and fragrance or other potentially harmful additives. Not tested on animals.
And, all are sulfate-free "no tears" formulas so you needn't worry about getting soap in your eyes.

I wanted a simple cleanser which not only removes makeup but most importantly is to cleanse the skin without drying it out. I have quite oily skin and it can handle some rough products but I wanted something simple for my cleanser.

So, I chose the Honey and Oat Gentle Deep Cleanser.

Ultra-hydrating sweet-lemony honey and oat facial cleanser in a base of refreshing aloe vera juice. Effectively removes makeup and impurities in one simple step.
Sulfate free "no tears" formula does not irritate eyes and rinses completely without residue leaving the skin clean, fresh and hydrated.
Designed for all skin types and especially beneficial for normal, dry and mature. 210 ml / 7 fl oz

I absolutely love this product. It really deep cleanses the skin out with drying it. it also removes makeup and it doubles up as a make up remover when I am wearing simple makeup not the waterproof kind of type. With the latter you would still need a proper makeup remover before hand. You can certainly use this multiple times during the day and since it has been extremely hot here in Malta I use it twice a day and sometimes even 3 times. I practically use it when I feel like my skin needs some cleaning up.

I really feel that the product has a very subtle and gentle fragrance with no particular and sharp scent and what is more important is that it doesn't contain any super fragrance or nasty chemicals.

I would definitely suggest you try this product out along with other products. Click on the link below to get yours!!!

Lierac Coherence L. IR Day and Night Lifting Cream Review

The reason why I have been absent for quite a while is pretty simple. I was just enjoying summer and I know that if I am committed to something I should stick to it. However, I work on a shift basis and some times on my off days all I want to do is to go out and have fun. So, sorry for the delays :) Now, on to the review.

I don't have any wrinkles so far! Thank God. But there again I am still 23 so I am not expecting to have any yet. But I like to take care of my skin not excessively but basic skincare regimes and then using one or two 'special' creams. I don't go to do facials that often and in my life I have only done 1 facial which felt quite good actually. But I prefer taking care of my own skin myself.

Months back I attended a Lierac event and in this event we were given some goodies to try out. One of them was this Coherence L.IR Day and Night Lifting Cream. It claims to redefine the oval shape of th face, firms the skin and diminishes the appearance of wrinkles. If I'm not picky on anything I am very picky on my night creams. Let's just say that this is one of my favourite ones.

First of all, it has this subtle fragrance which I cannot get over with and I cannot figure out what it is. But secondly, this night cream doesn't leave my skin greasy in the morning. I find that it is quickly absorbed in the skin. After using it my skin feels very mositurised and sort of plumped as well. Now as I said I cannot say that it really diminished my wrinkles as I don't have any. However, my skin felt really comfortable with it and it felt smooth and not tight. I have also used it in the morning and it works as fine.

Lierac suggests using it in the following manner:

"Lightly apply to the forehead, cheeks and chin from the middle of the face working towards the exterior, then descend the median line until your neck, not forgetting above and below the lips. Lastly, press lightly with flat hands, separate your fingers stretching them gently towards the temples towards the hairline."

My final thoughts? I would give the cream a go if you are looking into trying anti aging cream! Moreover it is never too late to start taking care of your skin. Check the link Lierac Malta Website to know where you can get the products from in Malta.

Hope that Review helped!

Catrice Cosmetics Event

Last week I was cordially invited to a PR event by Catrice. I was really excited for this event because not only they were launching the new Spring Summer 2014 Collection but we were also given the chance to view and try out several products from their permanent range.

The event took place in the tres chic club 'Level 22' at Portomaso Building which was converted in a makeup haven for the night!

The event started with a nice presentation featuring the brand Catrice and even its sister brand Essence.  I honestly do not own a lot of makeup from Catrice and I am quite looking forward for the new products to launch in the coming week or so.

I seriously need to catch up with the brand as it offers quite an extensive range of products which are suitable for absolutely everyone, and every age group. Oh and don't forget the price tag! It's seriously affordable! We were also given products from the Various Limited Editions that they have. I also made a list of the things I really want to get!

So, below are some photos of the event. In the meantime check the Catrice Malta to keep updated with the launches of the limited editions and the rest! Make sure to check the Catrice Stands which are found throughout Malta and Gozo and try out some of their products! Honestly, you will be hooked!
