Maybelline Tattoo Brow Review

If someone asks me what are the 3 makeup things I find essential would probably be filling my eyebrows, under eye concealer and mascara. I tend to put something in my brows always whether it is pencil, powder, pomade or even just eyebrow gel.

I came across this Maybelline Eyebrow Tattoo which intrigued me a lot. Although I do really love to have my eyebrows defined I am not particularly inclined of getting them permanently tattooed.

This Maybelline Tattoo Brow is a peel-off tinting gel which is said to last for 3 days. For application make sure that your eyebrows are clean and makeup free. Apply with the brush over your natural eyebrow shape and let it set for a minimum of 20 minutes. You can also leave it for 2 hours to obtain the best results. Then once dry peel off the gel starting from the inner corner of the brow towards the outside.

There are several shades available and I use the Dark Brown one for myself. I find application quite easy with the brush and I tend to leave the gel even overnight some times. Just let it dry a bit before going to sleep. Peeling it off is very easy and the gel does not tug on the hair. The gel tints both the hair strands and the skin. Until you get used to the product it is a good idea to have handy a cotton bud and some water proof makeup remover.

During application
I usually clean my face with an oil cleanser if I have a full face of makeup on. Other wise I use micellar water. Try not to use a lot of oil based cleanser on the eyebrows so as to prolong the tinting. I do find that the product actually lasts for 3 days on my brows, after which it starts to fade quite quickly without leaving any residue. Below are the before and after photos of the process.

Before
The morning after - 1st day
2nd day
3rd day
4th day
So, as you can see from the above photos the tint starts to fade gradually until practically nothing is left. Use an oil based remover if you need to remove the product more quickly.

I do suggest trying this product out if you are into Brow products! Let me know what you think about it!

Where to buy what ( Affordable and Good Quality Makeup)

Hello there!

An old friend of mine asked me this the other day:

" I wish to change brands of my makeup and buy everything new
prefer to purchase things online....could you please help me out by telling me which sites are the best ...both in quality and price ...Thanks in advance for your advice :) "
And I was like, 'this is actually a good idea as a blog post!'
So, here they are a list of some of my favourites that I have tried and tested which are all very affordable :) I have been loving online beauty websites and I think they offer a vast range of things which you sometimes don't find in Malta.
I didn't include foundation foundation as personally I love to buy it 'hands on' sort of.
Scroll to the end for all the websites that I purchase makeup from. Certain websites carry the same brands and some products are cheaper on one website then the other so find the cheapest ;)
Face Powder
I have only had this for a couple of weeks but I seriously think it is one of the best powders ever.
Get it from asos.com or feelunique.com. It is around 2 euros cheaper than buying it from Malta.
Blush
elf blushes were one of my 1st blushes I owned. These are very pigmented and are very affordable!
Get them from elf.co.uk

Eyeshadows
I like to buy eyeshadows in Palettes or trios or quads just because I think they are more worth it like this and you have more variety in one single product.
I love the Wet n Wild ones! They are seriously inexpensive and super pigmented!
Get them here at nonpareilboutique
Mascara
I live by Maybelline mascaras. I think they are the best around. I adore the Volume Express One by One. It just volumises the lashes perfectly! I dont have one right now and I don't know if it still available but you can get it (or other Maybelline ones) at feelunique.com
Eyeliner
I got converted to using gel liners recently and I absolutely love the Maybelline one.

Get it from feelunique.com. It is seriously cheaper then buying it from Malta!

Eyebrows

I love pencils for defining eyebrows. I don't really have the patience for using eyeshadows.

Get it from feelunique.com

Eyebrow Gel

I love the one from elf however this is currently out of stock but you can get it here.

Lips

I am very picky on lipsticks to be honest. I don't quite like to use lipsticks, I prefer tinted lipbalms or lipstains.

I am loving the L'Oreal lipstains.

Get them from feelunique

Brushes

I just absolutely love these Real Techniques brushes!!! Get them on iherb

List of websites:

Other brands to try out:

Blushes - Nars
Eyeshadows - Stila. , M.AC.

Hope you found it helpful
