Michael Todd Honey and Oat Gentle Deep Cleanser Review

So, let's just say that well I am not the kind of person to go all organic. However, when it comes to skin care I tend to try and use simple products as much as I can. Products which do not have those nasty chemicals. Products which do their job with no fuss.

That is where Michael Todd True organics comes in comes in. I believe I tried them for the very first time last year or it could have been before.

MICHAEL TODD cleansers, washes and scrubs are made in the U.S. without parabens, artificial color and fragrance or other potentially harmful additives. Not tested on animals.
And, all are sulfate-free "no tears" formulas so you needn't worry about getting soap in your eyes.

I wanted a simple cleanser which not only removes makeup but most importantly is to cleanse the skin without drying it out. I have quite oily skin and it can handle some rough products but I wanted something simple for my cleanser.

So, I chose the Honey and Oat Gentle Deep Cleanser.

Ultra-hydrating sweet-lemony honey and oat facial cleanser in a base of refreshing aloe vera juice. Effectively removes makeup and impurities in one simple step.
Sulfate free "no tears" formula does not irritate eyes and rinses completely without residue leaving the skin clean, fresh and hydrated.
Designed for all skin types and especially beneficial for normal, dry and mature. 210 ml / 7 fl oz

I absolutely love this product. It really deep cleanses the skin out with drying it. it also removes makeup and it doubles up as a make up remover when I am wearing simple makeup not the waterproof kind of type. With the latter you would still need a proper makeup remover before hand. You can certainly use this multiple times during the day and since it has been extremely hot here in Malta I use it twice a day and sometimes even 3 times. I practically use it when I feel like my skin needs some cleaning up.

I really feel that the product has a very subtle and gentle fragrance with no particular and sharp scent and what is more important is that it doesn't contain any super fragrance or nasty chemicals.

I would definitely suggest you try this product out along with other products. Click on the link below to get yours!!!

Michael Todd True Organics Kaolin Clay Mask Review

Hello peeps,

I have been absent a bit from here in terms of reviews. Apologies. As fast as summer is ending (although we still have some nice days here) I am kind of looking forward to winter. I love winter!

I adore masks, especially the deep cleansing ones, the ones which make your skin feel deep cleaned. Usually these kind of masks tend to be a bit drying and it is a must not to use them frequently.

I have been loving products from Michael Todd True Organics for the past year or so. However, this mask is a product which baffles me.

Lets start with the positive things. It does truly deep cleanse your face and makes it much brighter by removing the dirt in the pores and such. For that I adore this product. It does not dry the face that much but I wouldn't suggest using it frequently. As a Deep Cleansing mask it does wonders and more over it is made of very natural products and it is vegan. 100 marks for that!

Moving on to the not so positive points. I dont want to sound negative. I love this mask but some things I am not sure about them.  It has this strong smell of clay. I find it overpowering sometimes and I am not sensitive or so. But while applying it the smell is sometimes too much. However, once on the face the smell fades away.

I have to say it. The mask stings my face like crazy at times. Especially when I cleanse my face before which as far as my knowledge goes, is what you are supposed to do. And it's not like I use a super deep cleanser or something. And I don't apply it near the eyes or so. However, the cheek area/apples of the cheeks is the the area where the stinging occurs. I manage to survive and after washing it off no redness or burning sensation or so is left. I have no irritation or breakouts or things after using this. So, sensitive skin people beware!

Another thing is the difficulty I find when washing it off my face. It has this brownish/reddish colour which is a bit annoying. I usually leave it for around 10 minutes and sometimes the mask just sinks in the skin and wont budge with just water. I have to use a kind of muslin cloth and gently rub the face with water to remove it. It is a bit of a pain. You have to cleanse or tone or whatever, after rinsing off the mask as some residue remains!

It is as if I rambled negatively about this mask. However, I would like to try it again as I am pretty sure that the stinging is something normal. I had the sample size of this and I don't have any acne so I wouldn't know the full benefits.

Find more information here on their website.
I hope you found this review helpful!

Have you tried this mask out? What do you think?

Michael Todd Avocado and Mango Hydrating Facial Mask Review

A couple of weeks ago I reviewed the Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green Algae Toner, which you can find the review of here.

You can get Michael Todd Products here.

This time it is about a mask. This is the Michael Todd Avocado and Mango Hydrating Facial Mask. A mask which is seriously good enough to eat. First of all it has mangos and I absolutely love mangos and everything related with them. Secondly it smells divine and it is refreshing.

It is a hydrating facial mask and it is more targeted towards dry mature and sensitive skin. Now I don't have any of those. And so you might be wondering why the hell did I buy it then.

I have to say that I use it more often in winter as my skin is much more dehydrated. Having said that I work in an environment when I am constantly going out from air conditioning and out in the sun then back again in the ac. That can be quite drying to the skin.

I use this mask around once a week or when I feel like my face needs a bit of a boost. In winter I use it around twice a week.

As I have said the mask is very refreshing and hydrating. It comes in a very smooth orangey sorbet like texture:

It removes any dry flakes that might be present on the skin without making the face oily or super shiny or something. It is just the perfect mask for the dehydrated skin. Perfect for a night in and a pampering session :)

It isn't oily at all and that is why I think it is suitable for a lot of skin types!

Hope you found it helpful!

Michael Todd True Organics Blue Green Algae Toner

Hello guys :)

I have been wanting to review this product for ages! Anyways, I have been recently converted to Michael Todd. I have seen them on videos on Youtube and I wanted to try them out only because I wanted to change my skincare routine. I change my skincare quite often. When I finish a certain product I usually try something new unless it really made a difference.

I have never been fan of toners, because they dry out my skin so badly and I have quite oily skin so my skin  can take some 'stress' but toners just dried my skin and that's all.

This toner doesn't dry the skin one bit!! I find that it doesn't strip the skin out of its natural hydration which is excellent.

It is targeted for people with normal to dry skin however I think it is suitable for all skin types. It is great at removing the makeup residues that are left after cleansing. It also removes the residues from scrubs and masks and other cleansing products.

I use this morning after my cleanser and in the evening after I use a scrub or a mask or just the cleanser.

What I really like about this product is that it doesn't contain any nasty chemicals such as sulfates and parabens and it is mostly organic.

The website actually ships worldwide and the shipping for Malta is 6 euros so it is quite reasonable I think for products coming from USA. I didn't pay any duty tax so it is even better.

I don't know about the fact that it helps to prevent acne. I do not have acne however I do find that it somewhat helps to clear out some pimples which occur every now and then.

The one thing which made me hate the product at the very first moment was the lavender scent that the product has. But it doesn't transfer on to the face which is excellent!

Hope you found this review helpful. You can find this product along with a vast range of skincare products tailored for every skin type here.
