Teoxane RHA Lip Sculpt

The lips can show signs of ageing much before other areas. With age there is dehyrdation and loss of fat mass around the lip contour and fine wrinkles start to appear.

Teoxane RHA®  lip sculpt is for lips and lip contour to provide volume, hydration and anti-ageing protection, in an ultra-fresh serum formula. It contains a concentrate of active ingredients recognized for giving your lips volume, hydration and anti-ageing protection. It also has a cold-effect applicator tip soothe the most weakened skin, especially following a professional cosmetic procedure. As a result the lips are ideally moisturized, plumped and shaped. The lip contour is lifted and redefined.

Teoxane RHA® lip’sculpt can also be used after lip sculpting or rejuvenation with Hyaluronic Acid injections, to prolong the results of the treatment.

Personally, I do not have any wrinkles around the lips or contour area. I love to use this product for its hydrating properties. I find that it really hydrated the skin and it will  help with the prevention of wrinkle formation. I honestly didn't really notice any difference when it comes to plumping up the lips. However, I don't have any wrinkles or whatsoever yet. Having said that, I use this Lip Serum before going to sleep and I find that in the morning the lips are quite hydrated and smooth. I love to use it as a lip primer too around 30 minutes before I put on a longlasting lip colour.

Pupa Privee Collection - Limited Edition

This Pupa collection was a very much awaited one! It looks so lush and just gorgeous! This is the new PRIVÉE

Limited Edition 

collection. 

The packaging is so luxurious looking and the colours are just perfect. For the full collection check the Pupa Milano Website. 

One of the items is this Pure Colour Eyeshadow in shade 002 - Intense Brown. I am never disappointed with Pupa eyeshadows. And this one is no exception. It is very soft and extremely pigmented. I love to wear this eyeshadow on the outer half of the eye. I even wet the eyeshadow brush with some setting spray for a more intense colour.

If you follow me on my Facebook Page or in general, you might know that I am not a huge fan of red lipcolours. However, I occasionally find a colour which I really like. This hey is one of them. 

This is the Made to Last Lip Duo in shade 014 Exclusive Burgundy. This liquid lipstick has 2 steps. The 1st one is the actual lip colour which is matte and water proof and won't budge. The 2nd step is the glossy/balmy part which doesn't break the product down. I think I prefer not using the 2nd step. The product lasts ages and I wore it the first time for an event which included drinks and finger food. The lipstick stayed put!

The 1st swatch is the lip duo swatch. The swatch next to it is the eyeshadow swatch.

New Aldo Store opening in Malta

A couple of weeks ago I went with Lara from EveryBeautyAddict's Bible to the opening of a new Aldo store in Baystreet St. Julians. 

I absolutely fell in love with all the collection which has everything from some classic styles to more modern and fresh items. 

As you might probably know Aldo is one of the sponsors for Malta Fashion Week & Awards and obviously I had to get something from Aldo.... which you will see in upcoming outfit posts!

Imedeen Oral Skincare Journey - #1

We are constantly being bombarded by the latest skincare which most of the times involves a cream. However, last week we were introduced to a new different concept. Oral skincare.  Imedeen supplements are designed for different age groups and are aimed to help combat aging from within. These tablets can be taken as extra supplements with no side affects associated. However, always consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or on specific medications. 

A couple of weeks back we were introduced to Imedeen in a Launch which took place in Palazzo De Piro in Mdina. We were presented with the science behind the brand and its products while sipping some sparkling rose and nibbling on some canapes.

There are basically 3 ranges available in Malta, in local pharmacies.  

 1. Imedeen Derma One

This range is aimed for the 25+ which is when the first signs of ageing appear. These are mainly aimed for better hydration and radiance. These tablets work in the deep dermal layer where the creams do not reach.  This range features the exclusive Marine Complex, vitamin C and zinc, which protect the cells from oxidative stress and supports normal collagen formation and helps maintain healthy skin.  When taking 2 tablets daily, skin quality is improved, radiance is increased and moisture balance is improved making the skin on face and body feel smoother, softer and more supple.  

2. Imedeen Time Perfection 

This range is aimed for people aged 40 and above. It helps combat the visible signs of aging. It is made up of a Marine Complex which is rich in proteins and polysaccharide complexes which are naturally found in the skin's supporting tissues. This is the LycoPhenoGS Forte complex which is made up of lycopen, which is derived from non genetically modified tomatoes, grape seed extract, vitamin C and Zinc.  When taking 2 tablets daily, the skin's quality and moisture balance is improved making the skin softer, smoother and more supple. The cells are protected from oxidative stress. The tablets will also contribute to the normal formation of collagen.  

3. Imedeen Prime Renewal

This range is aimed for people of 50 years of age. When taking 4 daily, the tablets help combat the effects of ageing that occur around menopause, when the skin looses its moisture and becomes more vulnerable to free radical damage and age spots. Moreover, fine lines become deeper as the skin looses the underlying fat.   The range features the exclusive Marine Complex with zinc and the advanced protein complex ViTea which is a blend of white tea, lycopene, grape seed extract, Vitamin C and E. Chamomile has been added to the evening tablets.  These tablets maintain the skin's firmness and contribute to the normal collagen formation making the skin softer, smoother and more supple whilst reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They also improve the quality of the skin and moisture balance while protecting the cells from oxidative stress. 

Me and Lara from Every Beauty Addict's Bible were cordially invited to a skin analysis. You can view a short demonstration of the procedure here. The specialist, Allison, explained how the procedure is carried out with an ultrasound machine analyser.

From the analysis my skin density was around the 30% which in all fairness is a bit low. This is mainly attributed to dehydration and stress as well.

In the above pictures, the cross in the red area shows my skin density. In the bottom picture, the brown spots indicate the amount of collagen present in the skin.

In a months time I am to perform another skin analysis to see any improvements in the skin's collagen. It is advised to take Imedeen for a minimum of 90 days. Having said that, visible signs can be seen after only one month. This is backed up by clinical studies which show such results as can seen below.

I am so excited for the next update as I this is quite of a new concept which I am quite intrigued to try.

Artdeco Hello Sunshine! Summer 2016 collection Review

I am always so excited for new collections from Artdeco and I feel like it is such an underrated brand and it's not featured that much. This collection is all about the Summer, the sun and the feel good factors which summer brings with it. As much as it gets too hot here in Malta in summer, there is nothing better than some sun during the day.

"Goodbye, winter! Hello, sunshine! The new bronzing collection awakens a desire for summer, sun, beach and sea. Say goodbye to pale winter skin and refresh your face with summery radiance. In the "Hello Sunshine" collection, intense aqua mingles with sparkling peach and warm red on fine bronze. Vibrant colors that exude a pure summer feeling."

The 2 products which I bought are the Sun Blusher and the Lipshine lipstick.

This blusher gives me life! The 3 colours, peach, nude with a touch of pearl conjure up a sun-kissed freshness on your cheeks. The gorgeous sun design makes you crave for summer, sun, beach and sea.

I love to mix the 3 shades together to create a  perfect blend of colours with a gorgeous hint of shimmer which  together give this gorgeous colour on the cheeks.

The colours can be used individually although it can be a bit challenging. However, I absolutely love the highlighter! It is just gorgeous, without making you look like a disco ball. The Blusher also lasts quite a long time on the cheeks. Also, remember that the blusher is Paraben- and lanolin-free. Mineral oil-free. Perfume-free.

The Color Lip Shine lipstick is the other product which I bought. It is Shade 06 Shiny Bronze.

The Color Lip Shine lipstick has a soft and light, creamy gel texture which is very comfortable to apply and delivers delicate freshness and brilliance for a unique finish. It is quite pigmented  and it is combine with a soft shine  and hydration which makes it a perfect product for the lips.

The lipstick contains shimmering polymers that naturally accentuate and beautify the lips without being too much shimmery. Having said that is not glitter. The lipstick is also free of parabens, fragrances and silicone.

SkinCeuticals Products for 2016

A while ago I joined Lara from Every Beauty Addict’s Bible for the launch of new SkinCeuticals products which in all fairness, are quite new to me.

This range is all about anti-oxidant skincare and during the launch the special guest speaker Ms. Jennifer Bedran, who is the SkinCeuticals’ Skin Education Expert, talked us through these new additions to the collection. This brand combines medical procedures with premium products for the optimum skincare benefits.

Three new products were launched. Also a so called ‘lunch break’ Peel treatment was also introduced. We also had a live demonstration by Ms. Bedran herself.

1.    Metacell Renewal B3.

Metacell Renewal B3 utilizes a patent-pending aqueous emulsion to deliver a high concentration of vitamin B3 to address early signs of aging caused by sunlight or photo-aging. This emulsion improves these early signs of photo-aging by increasing cell turnover to resurface skin, help re-clarify and even out the skin tone. Ultimately it improves the appearance of wrinkles and surface elasticity.

2.    Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2.

Loss of lipids which are essential compounds in the skin’s surface, occur in aging skin. This will affect the skin’s barrier resulting in aging as the skin in unable to repair itself.

Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 is an anti-aging cream with a unique 2:4:2 cholesterol-dominant ratio to help restore skin's external barrier while nourishing aging skin for improvement in signs of accelerated aging, such as dry and rough skin, laxity and loss of fullness.

3.    Phloretin CF Gel.

Phloretin CF Gel is a new, powerful serum-in-a-gel antioxidant featuring a patented combination of 2% Phloretin, 10% pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic Acid), and 0.5% Ferulic Acid to neutralize free radicals induced by environmental stressors such as UVA/UVB and pollution which may lead to visible signs of accelerated skin aging. This powerful gel reduces hyperpigmentation and accelerates cell-renewal. Its formula makes it ideal for normal to combination skin and non-serum users.

As mentioned we had a demonstration about the new ‘lunch break’ peel. It is referred to as so as it literally does not take more than 30 minutes to complete. The results are instant: brighter and more even skin without any redness or irritation.

MAC LIMITED COLLECTIONS

Hi there again!! It has been a while now! 

Me and a dear friend of mine Lara from Every Beauty Addict's Bible, went on a little trip to our local MAC store. Well, actually we have 2. We went there to view the latest collections, with the intention of picking only 2 items, which was hard believe me, but I managed!

There are several collections in store right now. These are the Fearie Whispers Collection, the Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick Collection and the Huggable Lips Collection.

Of all 3 collections, my favourite one was the Faerie Whispers. It just screams out to me! And honestly the colours are just perfect! So, earthy, so pretty and so just glowy and gorgeous. I seriously wanted to get every single product.

The Retro Matte liquid lipstick collection was just as gorgeous. However, I didn't get a lipstick, only because I just couldn't find the perfect shade. However, Lara got the Oh Lady one which looks gorgeous!! And she told me that it didn't budge on her so they are truly long lasting!

For some weird reason (mainly because I forgot), I didn't take a photo of the Huggable Lips collection! All I can tell is that the colours are very pretty and the scent is just yummy!

Here are the 2 products which I got from the Faerie Whispers Collection. The Iridescent powder is the perfect blend of a powder highlighter without looking too frosty or super highlighted. I find it perfect to wear even in daylight! But it can be built up for a more dramatic highlight! The lipstick is just the perfect nude brown shade for me. It is simply a stunning colour and it is available in the creamsheen formula, which is my favourite!

PUPA SPORTY CHIC SPRING COLLECTION

You know that when there is something you absolute like you'd like to tell the world about it. Recently, I have received a couple I products from the new Pupa collection.   The lovely Stephanie from Pupa Milano Malta forwarded me 2 items from the new PUPA SPORTS CHIC COLLECTION for SPRING 2015.

From street-style to the catwalks, the frenzy is around the SPORTY CHIC style. An unprecedented mix between elegant e feminine clothing together with pieces that come directly from the sports world, for cool and original looks. These fashion trends inspire the make-up for Spring 2015 : sophisticated pastel tones in contrast with black graphic details and silver accents.

The first item is the SPORTY CHIC VAMP! MAXI STYLO LINER. This is the first time I ever tried a liner in giant marker form. Ok giant is a bit too much ! But you get what I mean. The special slanted tip allows you to draw either thin and very precise lines, for an intense and defined effect, or thick and strong ones for a dramatic graphic look.

I absolutely love how this eyeliner applies. It has a matte finish and it is very easy and quick  to use. Honestly, it just takes seconds to apply a precise eyeliner shape. By using the different sides of the tip you can create a whole lot of different looks. 

Although it doesn't claim to be waterproof it truly lasts all day even in this hot Maltese weather.

The other product is the SPORTY CHIC LIKE A DOLL CHEEKS&HAIR. I am a sucker for a good blusher especially in a fresh shade like this. The velvet like and silky texture illuminates the cheeks with a satin finish and colors your hair with adjustable shades.

The innovative packaging was created expressly for a practical and direct application on face and hair. I have to admit that I only tried applying it once to my hair. I think it is a fun thing to do. But I did try it on my cheeks. One thing I didn't particularly agree with is the fact that I didn't like the way it applied when using it directly from the tub. I found that it applied somewhat streaky. However, it applies perfectly with a brush. What I do is I sweep the brush over the product and then apply it to the cheeks. This way you can control better the amount of product you're applying. The shade is a bright pink shade but blends pretty well on the cheeks to give a more natural look.

I hope you are ready for bright colours and make sure you try these products out!
