The Body Shop Summer 2017

Basically Summer is here! Or well, just a couple more days for it to be officially summer. Summer brings lots of new and exciting things and The Body Shop has something for summer 2017. This was portrayed during an event which happened in The Body Shop outlet in Plaza Sliema.

The Pinita Collection is back this summer!

 Escape to a sunshine oasis with this body care collection. This sun-splashed scent evokes the aroma of freshly blended pineapples and coconuts, basically the tropics in a bottle!

Also, there are some new Matte Liquid Lipstick available too!

The Body Shop Christmas Collections

Last week I (along with some of the local beauty bloggers) got the see the New products by Body Shop, which are already on sale and can be bought from their outlets. A new shop opened in Pama Shopping Villlage in Mosta (if you are from Malta that is). 

Along with their permanent ranges, there is a new Christmas range which is the Frosted Plum. The whole range is infused with notes of magnolia, peony and ripe plum. There is an array of products which include hand creams, body butters, shower gels and other products including frosted plum shimmer body lotion. 

There is some gorgeous makeup as well which is perfect for the festive season.  Body shop is also working on an initiative with WaterAid. Basically, when you buy certain gifts which have the 'I give safe water' you are providing 1 day of safe water for a family in Ethiopia. So, that is a very good reason to buy your beauty gifts from Body Shop.

The Body Shop Cranberry Body Butter Review!

So, I already reviewed a product from the Cranberry range of products from The Body Shop. You can check that review here. 

As you might know Body Shop are renowned for their body butters and seriously I think they are one of the best around. If not the best.

I use this in conjunction with the body polish. However, I have to say that I do not use religiously every day. I certainly do not use it in summer. I find that it makes my skin a bit too slick.

But in winter it is great, especially when the skin is somewhat dry.

I find that it is best to exfoliate by using a scrub first and then use the body butter to obtain the ultimate smoothness.

You don't really need a lot of this product. A tiny amount goes a long way.

Why I love this?

I love the body butters in general. They come in a vast array of fragrances and with specific ingredients which are targeted for various skin types. They are absorbed in the skin quickly without leaving the skin feeling greasy. They offer a prolonged hydration which means that you don't have to reapply again in a few hours.

Oh and the scent isn't overpowering either.

This particular range is still available at the Body Shop (as far as I recall) and I believe they are brought out each year in the holiday season. Or is it available all year round? Not sure.

The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Body Polish Review

I have been meaning to do a review on this for months. I actually bought this product last winter and at first I wasn't sure whether Body Shop would have it this year again. 

But they did! And I think they come out with this range every winter. So, you might still find it around.

This is one of my favourite body scrub/wash type of product. Why? 

Because it is both a scrub and a shower gel at the same time. It has granules which aren't very harsh but which are harsh enough to remove the dead skin cells which I tend to have quite a lot on my legs.

Now you might say but aren't the legs drier this way?

With this one no. Because it contains honey in it and it makes the legs (and rest of the body) as smooth as ever! In fact the skin feels nourished and soft.

I went through this product very quickly and I strongly suggest checking it out. It seriously avoids the hassle of first scrubbing the skin and then using a shower gel after wards.

Oh did I mention the smell?

It is divine without being too strong.

I love to use it with one of the body butters which Body Shop are renowned for.

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream (Review)

Hello everyone :) 

I must apologise for the lack of posts but I have been finalising my thesis and I have my finals next month so I am a bit swamped.

Anyways, here is a quick one.

Body Shop is a hit and miss for me when it comes to skincare. I use their shower gels and body lotions and body butters which I adore, but its not the same when it comes to skincare.

I have been looking for a moisturiser which can act as a base under the foundation without oxidising it. I wished it to be with spf but anyways.

I love this moisturiser! It is so light and so fresh, it makes me seriously think of the sea and sun and all those nice sandy beaches!

It has a gelish cream texture which glides on the skin and sinks into the skin at once. It mattifies the face instantly and it is the perfect base for the foundation. Most importantly it doesn't oxidise the foundation!

I remember trying the one with spf from the same line but I also remember that I actually didnt like it  that much.

Anyways, if you want a nice base for the foundation I suggest you give it a go!

The Body Shop Almond Hand and Nail Cream

Hello everyone,

Winter brings about dryness! At least on my legs and on my hands! It is pretty normal and a very good way to remove dry skin is to exfoliate and moisturise! oh and drinking water!

I have been wanting to try The Body Shop hand creams for ages. I wanted to try the Hemp one but then I saw the Almond one and I chose that one.

This cream is amazing. It is really moisturises the hands. It doesn't feel greasy or soapy. Some creams have just a ridiculously amount of silicon in them which gives the soapy slippery feel. The Almond Hand and Nail Cream has almond oil and Brazil nut oil, but in just the right amounts for the cream to be slighltly thick but not very thick and greasy.

I would highly recommend this hand cream. There are a bunch of other fragrances like the Hemp and the Rose one. I would certainly buy this product again but I want to try out the Soap and Glory Hand Food hand cream which is so much raved about!

Body Shop Haul

Hello guys :) 

It is actually getting pretty chilly here.. well nothing really out of the ordinary. I mean it is December after all.

Anyways. Body shop. It has been a while since I bought some products from Body shop. And they have some gorgeous products! They have these sweet packets of 3 minis of body washes in differenct scents.. I think cranberry, gingerbread and vanilla, and there are small packets containing body polish butter and other things. And then they have these Ginger Bread man and Snowman Tins which you can fill with goodies. You can honestly find just every gift you need!

So here is what I bought. I must say that I honestly got hooked in the cranberry scent!!
I am not meant to buy products... but some of the products I ran out so :P 


Oh and btw, they have a loyalty  card that for every 20euros you spend you get a stamp (before it was every purchase above 20 euros you get a stamp, but even if you spend 100 euros you still get one step). You just pay 10 euros, and you get 10% discount so you get the 10 euros back quiet easily. And on the 4th stamp you get 10euros voucher, 8th stamp you get 13 euros. And on your birthday month you get 10 euros voucher too.

A good scrub to remove all the dead cells

This just smells divine! It is a more solid than a normal body butter.

I can't stop smelling this! For now its going in my hand bag!

I just needed a face wash after I remove my makeup, just to remove any residue.

I wanted a simple day cream. One which doesn't have SPF. Just plain and simple moisturiser.

I have been wanting a paddle brush for so long!
