Blinc Event and Mascara & Eyeliner Review

I thought of doing 2 separate posts but then I changed my mind and decided to combine the posts. A while back I was cordially invited to a Blinc event held at the Roseberry outlet in Valletta Malta.

Blinc is a brand which is based in Florida, USA. It is the only brand which specialises only on eyes. The first makeup product developed by the brand was a 'tube-forming' mascara which does not require makeup remover to remove. So, of course, I was intrigued.

Various blinc eye brushes are also available at Roseberry.

'Tubes' are formed around the lashes rather than painting them. They encase each lash without smudging, running, clumping or flaking even when you cry or rub your eyes. Blinc mascaras have been formulated especially for sensitive eyes, contact lens wearers and active people who want their mascara to hold.

Application is quite easy, just apply the desired coats before it sets as no further coats can be applied afterwards. To remove, one needs to apply lots of warm water and gentle pressure. Tubes can be seen falling. Note: These are NOT lashes! They are the mascara tubes.

I have the medium brown shade. It is quite a nice shade of brown. I think it is ideal if you want a more natural mascara look for day to day. It doesn't quite appeal to me as I prefer a more voluminous look. It is quite long lasting and it is fairly easy to remove. Oil cleansers won't really work as fast as water and gentle pressure. This is quite peculiar in all fairness. But there was no need to thug or press really hard on the lashes to remove the mascara.

The Mascara Amplified is more of a voluminous mascara. It is also smudge-proof, sweat-proof, water-resistant and flake-proof. It has the same 'tubing' technology with the difference you can apply as much coats as you want even after it dries. Removal is also easy and the same as the original mascara. Use just warm water and gentle pressure.

I found this mascara to be much more voluminous on the lashes, however, I prefer more volume as I do have quite thin lashes. Having said that, it stays on like a dream!

Personally I prefer the amplified version rather than the original one, it depends on the look you are going for.

I wear mostly gels/liquid liner and I was excited to try the blinc Eyeliner. It is water resistant and doesn't smudge or smear, run or flake.  It is also suitable for sensitive eyes and for contact lens wearers. The liner is removed by plenty of water and gentle pressure and it somewhat slides off.

I found the eyeliner tip to be quite flexible which can be a bit difficult to manage. However, I know people who prefer flexible brushes rather than stiff eyeliner tips. It is quite a fine brush and can create quite simple or dramatic looks by adding more layers.

NB: this is only a sample size product
