Lierac and Avene New Winter Launches (+Giveaway)

Finally it is getting a bit more chilly lately and I have the chance to scribble a few words on this particular even which happened several weeks back. Lierac and Avene are 2 of my favourite skin care brands which are relatively new here in Malta, probably Avene more than Lierac.

In the beginning there were short presentations about both brands. This was accompanied by sushi and prosecco during which we had the opportunity to test the products out.

This event saw the launch of a new skincare range - Hydregenist range which is replacing the Hydrachrono range. The range consists of 2 creams, one being more suitable for oily skin types and the other one for dry skin types, and a serum.

All the products are aimed to offer the essential hydration the skin needs whilst offering anti aging benefits. During the event we were also introduced to some new products from the Premium range and the Diopti range.

The second part featured another French brand Avene, which has just recently launched in Malta. All the products are infused with Thermal Spring water from the small town of Avene in France.  What is great as well is that all the products are manufactured in sterile environments! Lierac Summer Event!

Lierac is a brand which caters for everyone. All skin types and all ages. It was all I needed after a day at work. The whole event started with an interesting talk regarding beauty and health in general and the importance of a healthy  skincare regime.

Afterwards, us bloggers were invited to a cleansing facial, skin analysis, makeup application and nutritional advice.

I volunteered for the facial. It.was.very.much.needed.

Then I had my skin analysis. It resulted in my skin being quite combination and needs a lot of peeling in winter! Now I know in what I am going to invest in winter!

We also had delicious nibbles and some refreshing infused water. At the end we were given a nice goodie bag.

 In it was the Iridescent Milk Mist with SPF15, which lets just say is simply gorgeous! It has the tiniest amount of iridescence which makes the skin look more tanned and glowy. Perfect for summer! 

My all time fave product from Lierac? The Mesolift serum! I will definitely stock in winter as it is a nice skincare item for winter.

Lierac SUNIFIC Primer - Tan Starter Serum Review

I have already described this product in a previous post which you can find here. But for your convenience this is basically what was described in the brochure that accompanied it:

It is a primer which prepares the skin prior to sun exposure, boosting its resistance to the harmful effects of the sun, while rapidly activating a golden tan.

The formula contains sweet orange bioflavonoids (5%) and fresh carrot cells (1%) which trigger melanin production.It also contains jasmine extracts (2%) which all improves cell protection. It also has a beneficial agents such as fruit AHAs, shea butte and monoi, rouocou, apricot kernel and plant glycerin oils for a more even and more luminous perfect golden tan. The primer is a light moisturising fluid serum with notes of orange blossom, gardenia and frangipani.

How to use it? It is suggested to start applying it around 15 days before starting tanning morning and evening!

For the actual review:

I can see a big difference when using this product. Ok I admit it. I haven't been using this religiously for 15 days in a row. I have been using this for the past 2 months more or less.

It has a quite thin consistency which is absorbed quickly into the skin. I also find that it really acts as a good light moisturiser. I tend to tan quite easily however I sometimes tan a bit too dark. What I mean is that sometimes the tan is not that golden tan. You know what I mean, I hope haha. This Lierac primer helps the skin to obtain a very uniform golden tan all over your body. You can apply it on your face as well.

Don't be scared but this product has a sheen to it. It is a very light sheen of what seems like very fine glittery particles. It is not glitter by any means. To be honest I don't know how to actually describe it well. But it is this golden and very subtle sheen which makes the skin look gorgeous when the sun hits it.

Honestly a must have product for the summer but I imagine it is actually a good product for the winter as well!

Lierac Coherence L. IR Day and Night Lifting Cream Review

The reason why I have been absent for quite a while is pretty simple. I was just enjoying summer and I know that if I am committed to something I should stick to it. However, I work on a shift basis and some times on my off days all I want to do is to go out and have fun. So, sorry for the delays :) Now, on to the review.


I don't have any wrinkles so far! Thank God. But there again I am still 23 so I am not expecting to have any yet. But I like to take care of my skin not excessively but basic skincare regimes and then using one or two 'special' creams. I don't go to do facials that often and in my life I have only done 1 facial which felt quite good actually. But I prefer taking care of my own skin myself.

Months back I attended a Lierac event and in this event we were given some goodies to try out. One of them was this Coherence L.IR Day and Night Lifting Cream. It claims to redefine the oval shape of th face, firms the skin and diminishes the appearance of wrinkles. If I'm not picky on anything I am very picky on my night creams. Let's just say that this is one of my favourite ones.

First of all, it has this subtle fragrance which I cannot get over with and I cannot figure out what it is. But secondly, this night cream doesn't leave my skin greasy in the morning. I find that it is quickly absorbed in the skin. After using it my skin feels very mositurised and sort of plumped as well. Now as I said I cannot say that it really diminished my wrinkles as I don't have any. However, my skin felt really comfortable with it and it felt smooth and not tight. I have also used it in the morning and it works as fine. 

Lierac suggests using it in the following manner:

"Lightly apply to the forehead, cheeks and chin from the middle of the face working towards the exterior, then descend the median line until your neck, not forgetting above and below the lips. Lastly, press lightly with flat hands, separate your fingers stretching them gently towards the temples towards the hairline."

My final thoughts? I would give the cream a go if you are looking into trying anti aging cream! Moreover it is never too late to start taking care of your skin. Check the link Lierac Malta Website to know where you can get the products from in Malta.

Lierac Summer Launch + OOTD

This blog post had to be up last week! But I don't know where the days are going and it is already Tuesday and anyways one thing leads to another and  I keep procrastinating! Yeah, who doesn't?

Lierac have developed the SUNIFIC suncare range which includes sun protection creams for sun lovers. All the products contain patented UVA/UVB protection, triple performance against wrinkles, slackening and brown spots which when combined with moisturising and tan active agents to give the skin the  most radiant and sexiest of tans.  All products have the sweetest and most sensual and additive summer scents making the day at the beach as nice and pleasant as it can be.

The event started with an introduction on the skin and the ageing process of the skin. The n we had a detailed presentation on the new range itself during which two lovely girls were showing and the testing the products on us. All I can say is that I got hooked on the products at once. Especially the scrub which felt so nice on the skin!

As generous as Lierac can be we were given a very bright neon orange pouch filled with some samples and a large full size SUNIFIC Primer - Tan Starter Serum which is aimed for a rapid and sublime tan maintaining cellular protection. It is aimed for both Face and Body and doesn't not contain and SPF.
