Yves Rocher nutri-silky hair mask | Review

Finally the weather is cooling down and the stickiness is losing its power. Until a few days ago my hair was unmanageable and dry and frizzy and a disaster. Mind you, I don't have curly hair, my hair is somewhat straight. With a good shampoo comes along a good mask or conditioner.

Lately I have been using the Yves Rocher nutri-silky mask. It is a mask targeted more towards dry hair. It is silicone, paraben and colorant free.

The mask is a creamy mask with nourishing oat milk which is renowned for its hair-nourishing and scalp-softening properties, and shea butter which nourish and repair the hair. Both are grown from organically grown plants. The hair regains its suppleness and and obtains also a silky touch. It treats the hair fibre without weighing it down so it is also suitable for people with fine hair. It is made up of 94% natural ingredients. What is also good about this product? The container contains recycled plastic to minimise its environmental impact.

I love using this product as a frequent conditioner and I leave it in my hair for around 5 minutes. I suggest this mask to everyone who would like a mask which nourishes the hair without leaving it oily or without weighing it down.

Check out a review on a favourite shampoo of mine from Yves Rocher here.

And what's more, Yves Rocher are offering 50% off when buying a second hair care product! Hurry up as the offer is valid only until the 10th of November!

Yves Rocher Shampoo traitant anti-pelliculaire - Anti Dandruff Shampoo | Review

A while back I was cordially invited by the brand Yves Rocher for a botanical facial massage and for an 'introduction' about the brand itself. You can view the blog post about the experience here. I have already reviewed one of my current lipstick obsessions which you can find the review here.

It is quite hard for me to find shampoos which do not irritate my scalp. I don't have dandruff as such but I do really tend to get quite a good amount of build up on my scalp which means I have to wash my hair every other day, which, takes quite a lot of effort if you have long hair.

A good cleansing shampoo which doesn't strip my scalp of moisture and natural oils, is a must for me. Otherwise I would end up fiddling with my hair leaving it quite oily and irritated.

This shampoo is formulated for dandruff, however, it is gentle enough to be used on all hair types. It doesn't contain any silicones or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which tend to irritate my scalp. It is also Paraben free. It contains organically grown nasturium extract,  which acts as a botanical cleansing base. The shampoo has an easily biodegradable formula.

What I love about this shampoo is that it removes the build up on my scalp very effectively and leaves it feeling clean. I would suggest this shampoo to anyone but especially to people who have an itchy and/or flaky scalp.

And what's more, Yves Rocher are offering 50% off when buying a second hair care product! Hurry up as the offer is valid only until the 10th of November!

Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipstick in Rose Cocktail | Review

Finally the transition from summer to autumn has begun! Although it is still quite hot there is certainly a cool breeze about the air. Temperatures are starting to drop and we all know what follows...chapped lips! A handbag staple for me is of course, lip balm. As I have already mentioned in previous posts I am not a huge fan of lipstick, however I do love my tinted lip balms.

I fell in love with the lip product at once. The packaging is quite sleek and elegant which I kind of love.

The lipstick itself is made from 100% cherry oil, with which I am currently obsessed! The cherry oil within the balm helps to nourish the lips when it is applied and it also lends the balm such an appealing pigment! Cherry oil has the capacity of refracting light and it is also enriched with Omega 6 and 9 which both act as natural sources of protection and nutrition. Having dry lips myself, this is quite the ideal product for me during the cold season and sometimes it is quite the life saver.

The lipstick glides smoothly and effortlessly on the lips giving them a very natural glossy tint which makes the lipstick ideal for everyday use but also for night time as it doesn’t require a lot of technique to apply. Moreover, the colour itself doesn’t feather out although you do have to apply the product after a couple of hours. But being it a somewhat of a lipbalmy product one would expect that.

What is there more to love? The Price. Currently at 30% off – 11.20 euros. I am definitely in love with the product and it is a definite repurchase.

Yves Rocher and Botanical Spa Experience!

Last Saturday was a much anticipated day. A couple of weeks ago the brand Yves Rocher contacted me for a meeting with regards to the brand. It all started with a nice cup of Vanilla tea, which happens to be my favourite kind of tea ever. Prior to the meeting I was offered a free Botanical Facial which I believe was around 1 hour 15 minutes long. But to be perfectly honest with you I could have stayed there for hours!

So, lets start with a brief introduction about the brand itself. Yves Rocher founded the brand that bears his name back in 1959. The products are formulated from botanicas, which are naturally similar to skin. Researchers study the  diversity and wealth of botanical life to reveal their unique benefits such as skin stimulation, repair and protection. One of their philosophies is their management towards the enhancement and reservation of all the botanical life around the world. For example like in Mali or Burkina Faso where the cultivation of fair trade Shea crops is combined with sustainable production, training and guaranteed minimum wage, thus promoting long-lasting economic development of the local population.

The brand itself caters for every age and skin type with products ranging from shower gels to perfumes and to very specific anti aging creams. A vast range of hair care products are also included. Makeup can also be found in the range with products which are infused with botanicals which is actually good for the skin.

There are lots of things to discuss about this brand which in all fairness is quite new to me, although it is not the first time that I heard of it. One thing which I think is pretty awesome is that for every product which is bought from  certain ranges, Yves Rocher has pledged to plant a tree! How great is that?

Every facial is tailored for each specific skin type. Mine is quite oily and hence it involved a deep cleaning process to remove all the impurities and a mask to help regenerate the skin. The beauty therapists hands were very soft and gentle with the movements which I felt helped to remove the tension in my skin. The whole experience (which in all fairness was heavenly!) ended with a light makeup application which included foundation, powder and a couple layers of mascara and quite a natural touch of colour to the lips.
